I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
